Clinician

Position Description:

Responsible for providing group, individual and family therapy for clients that participate in Youth Services Programs. Client records are confidential and must be maintained. Diagnostic and treatment-planning abilities are essential. Clinician will report suspected child and elder abuse and danger to others. Supervision and staff meetings are a necessary part of the therapist’s duties. Flexible hours are necessary and include evening hours. The therapist must present a positive professional image in the community.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Direct Services

  • Provide individual, group and family therapy
  • Provide crisis intervention
  • Provide rehabilitation intervention services
  • Participate in clinical supervision and case management

Administrative

  • Executes comprehensive and detailed documentation, and performs other administrative tasks as necessary, to support both program operations and role responsibilities, including but not limited to, thorough clinical documentation of client interactions, mental status examinations, assessments, treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Clinical documentation must be completed in a timely manner in addition to requested compilation of monthly statistical data, and other related tasks.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with key stakeholders, including but not limited to government partners, community and individual supporters, executive leadership, and Board of Directors.
  • Must be able to travel, as necessary, to attend meetings, provide direct services at WCYFS satellite locations, and make presentations in a professional manner.
Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree
  • CA LMFT/LCSW or license eligible
  • Competent with Trauma Informed Care
  • Displays cultural and racial humility
  • Successful completion of Victim Assistance Training for domestic violence and sexual assault within one year of hire.
  • Fingerprint clearance is required.
  • Adhere to Board of Behavioral Science regulations and to the ethical standards of each discipline’s professional association (CAMFT, NASW).
  • Reliable transportation, valid California Driver’s License, and proof of insurance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs throughout the course of a normal workday.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

*Salary is based on education and experience.
