Program Assistant

Position Description:

The Program Assistant is a full-time, exempt position that provides day-to-day administrative support and coordination to ensure effective agency and program operations. This Program Assistant reports directly to the Operations Manager and collaborates with a team of stakeholders to ensure mission and program sustainability.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Program Coordination

  • Provide administrative support and coordination to ensure successful operations of agency and programs, including, but not limited to, customer service and reception, file and supply organization, the opening of mail, document scanning, performing inventory, etc.
  • Provide support and coordination of special projects including, but not limited to, outreach and educational events, training, presentations, communication projects, special events, awareness months, etc.
  • Provide support and coordination to ensure sustainability and organization of the Board of Directors, including, but not limited to, board calendaring (both electronically and on paper), committee and event calendaring, board & committee meeting documentation, packet development, and other operational needs.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination to CEO ensuring timely and effective communications with key program stakeholders, including, but not limited to, internal and external constituents, program participants, and partners.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma and/or two years experience;
  • Fingerprint clearance is required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid California Driver’s License, and proof of insurance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs throughout the course of a normal workday.

Salary: $17.00 – $21.25

*Salary is based on education and experience.
