Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Program Specialist

Position Description:
The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Program Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining strong community relationships, particularly with at-risk populations, including youth involved in or at risk for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. This role includes leading support groups, providing advocacy and crisis intervention, connecting individuals to resources, conducting outreach and delivering education. The CSEC Program Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position reports to the CSEC/Street Outreach Program Manager and regularly collaborates with other Program Coordinators and Program Managers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Direct Service & Community Engagement
- Facilitate support groups for CSEC youth and their families, providing a safe environment for healing, education, and empowerment.
- Support youth street outreach efforts to identify and provide crisis intervention to CSEC and at-risk youth.
- Offer advocacy, and referrals to resources for youth involved in or at risk for CSEC.
- Provide trauma-informed care for youth engagement and CSEC prevention.
- Engage in street outreach activities to identify and connect with youth at risk of CSEC.
- Represent agency & maintain effective relationships with funding partners including, but not limited to: federal, state and local government or municipalities; foundations; local businesses; community organizations; and community supporters.
- Actively conduct community engagement to build local relationships and maintain partnerships.
- Conduct presentations, workshops, and training sessions on topics related to CSEC, public safety, and community programs.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including some weekends, and to travel as needed.
- Provide services in multiple settings (e.g., office, community, home, or other designated locations) to meet the individualized needs of clients.
Administrative
- Perform administrative tasks, as necessary, to support both program management and role responsibilities.

- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and awareness of and sensitivity to the cultures represented in San Joaquin County.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent and relevant work experience; minimum three years of experience working in a related field (victim-service field preferred).
- Fingerprint clearance required.
- Reliable transportation, valid California Driver’s License, and proof of insurance.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs throughout a typical workday.
