Women’s Center-Youth & Family Services’ Remains Open During COVID-19 Shutdown

Services continue for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and youth homelessness.

Stockton, CA: Women’s Center-Youth & Family Services (WCYFS) remains open and continues to provide services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and youth homelessness during the COVID-19 shutdown. Individuals and families can access services Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at WCYFS’ office located at 620 N. San Joaquin Street in Stockton, California, or 24 hours a day by calling its helpline at 209-465-4878.

“Experiencing a victimization can result in a variety of physical and emotional responses; depending on the circumstances, these feelings – feeling isolated, feeling alone, feeling distrustful – are already heightened and become compounded when social networks and communities are disrupted, such as the impact we are seeing from the novel COVID-19 crisis,” explains Krista M. Fiser, MA, CEO of WCYFS.

WCYFS is a victim services agency that specializes in healing families, individuals and children that have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and the aftermath of such victimizations, including human trafficking and youth homelessness. Through crisis intervention, support services, case management, after-care services and education and outreach, WCYFS supports the most vulnerable populations to heal their trauma, empower self-sustainability including productivity and responsibility and ultimately end the generational cycle of violence.
